The Ateneo Graduate School of Business Student Council brought together generations of Atenean leaders in an evening celebrating connection, achievement, and the enduring spirit of the AGSB community.
TAGUIG CITY, September 12, 2026 — What does it mean to carry a legacy forward?
For the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB) community, the answer lies not only in the milestones of its past, but also in the people who continue to give meaning to its mission today.
This spirit came alive at IGNITE 2026: Legacy in Motion, the flagship gathering organized by the AGSB Student Council, held on September 12, 2026, at The Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Taguig City.
Bringing together students, graduating members of the community, alumni, faculty, administrators, and guests, IGNITE 2026 became an occasion to reconnect across generations, celebrate shared achievements, and reflect on the values that continue to define the Atenean experience.

Set against the backdrop of AGSB’s 60-year legacy, the evening carried a message: A legacy is not simply something we inherit. It is something we continue to build.
Past. Present. Future.
At the heart of IGNITE 2026 was a narrative that connected three dimensions of the AGSB journey: the past that shaped the institution, the present that continues to define its community, and the future that its members are called to create.
Under the theme Legacy in Motion, the celebration recognized that the story of AGSB extends beyond classrooms, academic accomplishments, and professional milestones. It lives through relationships formed, leadership demonstrated, and acts of service that extend into organizations and communities.
The event’s Aurora Nocturne visual identity brought this idea to life through a celebration of light, movement, and connection. Much like an aurora illuminating the night sky, the theme reflected how individual journeys, aspirations, and contributions can come together to create something greater.
For a community whose members balance demanding professional responsibilities with graduate education, IGNITE offered a meaningful opportunity to celebrate not only how far they have come, but also the people who have accompanied them along the way.
Celebrating Milestones, Leadership, and Service
Beyond the evening’s atmosphere and festivities, IGNITE 2026 placed the people of AGSB at the center of the celebration.
One of the evening’s important dimensions was the recognition of graduating students, whose journeys represent years of perseverance, personal growth, and commitment to lifelong learning. Their achievements reflected the determination of working professionals who continue to pursue excellence while navigating the demands of their careers and personal lives.
The program also celebrated student leadership and service, recognizing the contributions of individuals who have helped strengthen the AGSB community beyond the classroom.
These moments reinforced a central belief of Atenean formation: that leadership finds its fullest meaning when exercised in service of others.
Through shared dining, performances, recognition segments, and moments of fellowship, the evening provided opportunities for members of different programs, tracks, and batches to come together—not simply as students or graduates, but as members of one evolving community.
One Community, Across Generations
Perhaps one of the most meaningful aspects of IGNITE 2026 was its ability to bring together people whose AGSB journeys began at different points in time.
For current students, it was an opportunity to deepen connections beyond their immediate classes and cohorts. For graduating students, it marked a moment of celebration and transition. For alumni, it offered a chance to reconnect with a community that continues to be part of their personal and professional stories.
Across these different experiences was a shared identity rooted in the Atenean commitment to transformative learning and ethical leadership.
IGNITE reminded the community that belonging does not end with graduation, nor is leadership confined to a particular title or position. The relationships, values, and sense of responsibility cultivated at AGSB continue to find expression wherever its members go.
In this way, the evening was not only a celebration of the institution’s history. It was also a celebration of the people who carry that history into the present.
A Celebration Made Possible Through Partnership
The success of IGNITE 2026 was also made possible through the generosity and collaboration of organizations that supported the Student Council’s vision of bringing the AGSB community together.
The AGSB Student Council extends its appreciation to its Platinum Sponsors: The Blue Leaf McKinley, Bizu Catering Studio, UNILAB, Wine Century Bros. Phils. Inc., Coca-Cola Philippines, Manila Craft, Powercap Trading, Inc., and Zoom-A Trucking Services, Inc.
The Student Council also acknowledges its Silver Sponsors: Metrophoto, Hausland Development, HUE, and BUM & Starwave – Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club; and Bronze Sponsors: Emperador and Universal Robina Corporation.
Special thanks are extended to Johnnie Walker for its support.
These partnerships helped bring to life an experience that celebrated not only the achievements of individuals but also the strength of a community united by a shared purpose.
The Legacy Continues
As AGSB reflects on six decades of shaping business leaders, IGNITE 2026 offered a reminder that an institution’s legacy is measured not only by the years it has existed or the milestones it has achieved, but by the impact its people continue to create.
Every student who chooses to keep learning, every leader who acts with integrity, every graduate who gives back, and every relationship that extends beyond the classroom becomes part of that continuing story.
For the AGSB Student Council, Legacy in Motion was more than an event theme. It was an expression of the responsibility shared by every generation of Atenean leaders: to honor what came before, make a difference in the present, and help shape what comes next.
Because our legacy lives in each of us. And together, we keep that legacy in motion.
